Welcome to St.Maria Montessori Teacher’s Training Institute (SMMTTI).
The focus of 21st Century is on Child Development and Child Education as well as Women Education and Women Empowerment. These ideas have already enunciated by the early Educational Philosophers of different countries from Plato to the present day. No doubt, all educationists today accept that the childhood Education is very important and also children acquire basic skills and knowledge of 60 to 70% before the regular school age of 5 and 6. In order to achieve that St. Maria Montessori Teacher’s Training Institute (SMMTTI) was established during the year 2007-08 at Mysore. The institute is started by Mrs. K.C. Roopa and supported by professionally and educationally by Prof.K.H.Ranganath M.Sc, Phd, Prof. K.A. Suresh Ph.D., FNASc, FNA. And Dr. Mangala Ayre, Phd. So far more than 350 students are professionally trained by the institute and are placed as Montessori teachers in India and abroad. Also the institute has training centers at Gonikoppa and Madikeri of Kodagu District.
